1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the LinkVpn Android application and related VPN, configuration, diagnostics, advertising and support services operated by ACTIVE POWER LLC ("LinkVpn", "we", "us" or "our").
LinkVpn does not require you to create a user account. Some information is nevertheless processed automatically when the app starts, requests advertising or establishes a VPN connection.
Important: The previous Google Sites policy contained generic statements that did not accurately describe the current app. This policy identifies the SDKs and permissions present in the current LinkVpn Android release.
2. Information we process
App and device information
We may process the app package name, app version, Android version, language, country or region setting, installation time, network availability and app-instance or device identifiers. These details support configuration delivery, compatibility checks, abuse prevention, attribution and diagnostics.
Public IP and approximate network region
The app queries an IP information service and may process your current public IP address and approximate country, region, city, time zone, network organization and coordinates returned for that IP. This information may be used for service availability, regional restrictions, connection reporting, advertising reporting and fraud or abuse prevention. It is not precise GPS location.
Connection and diagnostic events
We may process connection start, success, failure and interruption events; selected server or protocol; latency and verification results; session duration; transferred byte counts; app screens and actions; crash reports; and performance diagnostics. These records help operate the service, understand reliability and investigate failures.
Advertising and attribution information
LinkVpn displays advertising. Google Mobile Ads, AppsFlyer and Meta technologies may process the advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, consent state, ad impressions, clicks, revenue events and campaign attribution. Depending on your region and consent choices, advertising may be personalized or non-personalized.
Support communications
If you email us, we process your email address and the information you include so we can respond. Do not send passwords, payment information, full VPN configuration credentials or other sensitive information.
3. How VPN traffic is handled
When you connect, Android routes covered network traffic through the LinkVpn VPN interface and the selected proxy server. Processing destination addresses and traffic is technically necessary to deliver the VPN connection.
LinkVpn does not use the content of your VPN traffic for advertising analytics. Server and infrastructure providers may process limited operational records needed for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, capacity management and legal compliance. Retention may vary according to operational necessity and applicable law.
A VPN protects traffic only between your device and the VPN infrastructure. It does not make you anonymous, and it cannot replace HTTPS, device security or safe browsing practices. Applications you exclude from the VPN continue to use their normal network path.
4. Third-party service providers
The current app integrates the following categories of providers. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Android permissions and local data
- VPN service: Android displays a system approval dialog before LinkVpn can create a VPN interface.
- Internet and network state: required to reach VPN servers, retrieve configuration and determine whether a network is available.
- Notifications and foreground service: used to keep an active VPN connection visible and controllable while the app is in the background.
- Installed applications: LinkVpn uses package visibility to show non-system apps in the app-exclusion screen. Your exclusion selections are stored locally and are used to configure which apps bypass the VPN.
- Advertising identifier: advertising and attribution providers may access the resettable Android advertising identifier, subject to platform controls and consent requirements.
6. Retention, transfers and security
Local preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall LinkVpn. Analytics, crash, attribution, advertising, IP information and operational records are retained according to their purpose, provider settings and applicable legal requirements. We aim to keep records only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Providers and VPN infrastructure may operate in countries other than your own. Information may therefore be transferred internationally and protected under the safeguards required by applicable law.
We use access controls, encrypted transport where supported, and operational safeguards intended to protect information. No network or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices and rights
- Use the consent controls presented in the app where required for advertising.
- Reset or limit your Android advertising identifier through device settings.
- Disable optional notifications in Android settings.
- Change or remove app-exclusion selections inside LinkVpn.
- Disconnect the VPN, clear app data or uninstall the app to stop future app processing.
- Contact us to request information, correction or deletion where applicable. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record.
8. Children
LinkVpn is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information through the app or support channel.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, service providers or legal requirements change. The revised date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or store listing.
